When you are going to a sporting event or leaving for a trip that involves watching a game, it always good to know what to do ahead of time. Here are some tips I have for going to games.
1. Always make sure you have your ticket/access to it on phone. The last thing you want to happen when you arrive at the game is not to have a ticket and buy another one if there some still available. Always check before you leave to make sure you have your ticket. If your ticket is digital be sure to make sure you have access to it and can open it easily when you get to the gate.
2. Know your price limit: When planning to go to a game, know that it can be very expensive. Not only can tickets be on the pricy side but food and souvenirs as well. Take these into consideration and plan accordingly
3. Even if the stadium food is expensive, still try it, if you are willing: This applies especially at baseball stadiums. While the food can be pricey, a lot of unique foods such as the Fenway Frank at the Red Sox’s Fenway Park. Foods like this are a true part of the game experiences so don’t be afraid to try them.
4. Know a little bit about the stadium: If it is your first time at the stadium, do a little bit of research ahead of time so you know a little about where you are going. See where your seats are, where the best parking is for your entrance and so on. It also might be fun to learn a little history about the stadium.
5. Don’t bring too much into the Stadium: Don’t feel you need to bring a big back of things into the game. Just bring what you think you’ll need. This will help you save time too as your back will be checked quicker.
6. Enjoy the game: This is the most important one. Really take in all of the sights and sounds. Going to games are so much fun and you’ll enjoy it even more if you just take it all in.
